The ozone layer is an area of gasses that protects the earth from harmful sun rays. Just like a think skin on an orange or watermelon ;D

The holes are caused by a lack of sunlight reaching the oxygen in the stratosphere. It is also caused by chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). Ozone is an unstable gas that decays into oxygen when there is no energy to keep it bound.

CFC stands for Chloroflorocarbons.
This cemical is somtimes found in sprays such as spray paint and areosol spray.
CFC is also deadly, it destroys the ozone layer.

The ozone layer is very thick it is like a big mirror around the earth when the sun shines in, the ozone layer reflects it.

ReplyDeleteyou sure are productive and are very interested in climate change. Did you know this before? The video says that CFC's are not being produced. Are we safe from the ozone threat?
